“To me, the relationships formed in this community are a symbol of the relationship between God and humanity. They are the tactile representations of the spiritual and the way I can understand God’s love for me.”
- a Franciscan Community Volunteer

The Franciscan Community Volunteers program is a post-graduate, long-term volunteer Franciscan program in St. Cloud, Minnesota, for young adults, ages 21-30, who are looking for an authentic way to live an integrated life of faith and service in the world.

FCV is an 11-month commitment of intentional community living dedicated to serving and advocating on behalf of the underserved.

The Franciscan Community Volunteers program is dedicated to providing a meaningful experience integrating three pillars:

                   - Community
                   - Service
                   - Spirituality

During their 11 months of post-grad, long-term service the Franciscan Community Volunteers are invited to:

  • enter into a process of companionship with the poor, including practicing simplicity, in the Spirit of Saints Francis and Clare
  • work closely with the poor and marginalized, dedicated to serving and advocating on their behalf
  • share in community living supported by prayer, reflection and discussion on the Gospel

The FCV program is a member of
